Ivan Corraliza, known in the music-making fraternity as Ill Factor, is a force to be reckoned with. His beat-making skills are second to none; get him in the studio and he'll literally churn out hit-worthy tracks one after another.

His talents haven't gone unnoticed; Ivan spends his days working alongside production legend Jimmy Douglas, whose platinum records adourn the walls of their Miami studio. Ivan has also worked with some of modern music's most highly rated stars, including Timbaland, Nelly Furtado and Justin Timberlake.

Ivan uses Ableton LIVE to create his tracks: "when I get inspired to write music, I know that the programme I'm using can keep up to pace", which is crucial when the pressure is on to make hit records. To give him hands-on control of Ableton, Ivan also uses a Novation Zero SL MkII and a Launchpad.

"You can trigger everything from Launchpad, and all the controls are really at your fingertips. And with the Zero SL, I can play in drops and pans, and crossfades and switches really quickly."
